The SITA World Group had its founding with the establishment of SITA World Travel in 1933 by Helen and Jack Dengler in Rancho Mirage, California. This makes SITA World Travel one of the oldest continuing tour operators in the nation. The acronym ‘SITA’ stood for “Student International Travel Association” and focused on travel for the younger budget conscious traveler.

As a result the organization quickly established itself as the premier provider of educational programs for students and soon was providing travel services to thousands annually. Under the direction of the Denglers, branch offices were opened on a worldwide basis as the company began to offer a full range of travel services and programs for discerning adults.

For the last twenty four years the firm has been owned and actively managed by Mr. Mok S. Vahali, Group President and Mr. Roger Mahal, CEO. During this time, SITA has grown and diversified its offerings to the public and to the travel and aviation industries.
